This territory is made up of two large hydrographic basins: in the north, Lake Puyehue; in the south, the Rupanco lake. The main tourist offers in the area are concentrated around them, which include the Puyehue National Park, thermal complexes, ski centers, exuberant evergreen forests, recently active volcanoes -such as the Puyehue-Cordón del Caulle complex- and notable hiking trails. trekking, classified among the wildest in Chile.

In a beautiful Andean landscape, the silhouette of the Puyehue and Puntiagudo volcanoes stands out, upholstered on their skirts by typical rain forests of the Valdivian jungle.

At the western tip of Lake Puyehue is the town of Entre Lagos, an old lumber and service port, where the railroad that took the production from Lakes Puyehue and Rupanco arrived. It currently has all the basic supply services, some lodgings and restaurants, so it serves as a logical base to explore this entire area.
